Olympians Sport Academy is a non-profit, tax-exempt organization, registered as an
association incorporated under section 21 and section 18A, to introduce and promote
Olympicsport to the historically disadvantaged youth in the Western Cape, Republic of
South Africa as a counter- measure to gangsterism, substance abuse and involvement in
crime.
The strategy that is being followed, is a two-tiered approach where the youth, who are in
the main from areas and schools that are historically disadvantaged and very poor, are
introduced to the sport of wrestling, nurtured and trained in the various skills needed to
participate in the sport and to identify and support those youngsters, of all ages and
genders, who show potential and to train, coach and guide them to participate at club,
provincial, national and international level with a view to produce young boys and girls of all
ages to compete in the Olympic Games at London in 2012.
Since inception the Olympians Sport Academy (OSA) has directly impacted on hundreds of
learners in Primary, High and Secondary Schools, as well as students in tertiary education
facilities.
We embarked on a project to establish a high performance training center in the Western
Cape which provides our organization to employprofessionally trained coaches and who is
trained to provide life skill training.
We are also the first professional Sport academy system in South Africa.
The academy has professionally trained coaches, officials and administrators to provide
skilled training programs.
